About the surroundings

Our villa is in the center of Balatonszárszó about 900 metres (2900 ft) from Lake Balaton. In the village there are a lot of restaurants, shops, food stores, ATM and bus stop within 200 metres (600 ft). The villa is in a quiet place which provides perfect relaxation and rest for the guests. Easy and fast approach by car on motorway 7 (entrance and exit about 3 kilometres), bus station and railway station also within 900 metres ( 2900ft).

Getting to the northern shore of Lake Balaton is also easy and fast, because there is a ferry in Szántód about 6-8 km from the villa. There is a regular service in summer which means that ferries leave every 20 minutes so you can make a trip even by bike or on foot on the other side of the lake. It may be a good idea to spend a whole day in Tihany sightseeing and enjoying the beautiful view.

If you want to have a boat trip, we recommend the harbour in Balatonfoldvar. There is a regular boat service touching all the towns of Lake Balaton. The harbour is about 4 km from the villa. You can get accurate information about the ferry and boat timetables here: Useful links
